THE GOBLIN NEWSLETTER 100
Added 2024-10-03 17:48:42 +0000 UTCIt’s Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This is important because it also marks the first hundred GOBLIN NEWSLETTERS. I celebrate three New Years, Jewish, Western & Lunar. I end up thinking about the transition of years from the start of Fall until the start of Spring, a quarter of the year. There is a period between Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur, which are the High Holy Days when the book of life is said to be open. I understand this as the time to get right with the people in my life & ultimately get right with God. (My understanding of God isn’t anthropomorphic at all, but rather a universal intention or will, I hesitated to even use the word because so many people hear it & are automatically turned off.) Anyhow, I really like the idea of getting right with the people in my life. Being right with God has been & is a lifelong journey, even when I didn’t acknowledge the word God, even when I was devoted to dark powers. There is something very good about letting go & getting on with things. It’s great to check up on your people & your life once a year, but more often (daily) is probably good. Life is messy, everyone is different, it should be assumed that we’re going to bump into each other in some ways, often. It’s not a big deal, but we should acknowledge it.
