"Sometimes there is strength & sometimes weakness; Sometimes one is up and sometimes down. Therefore the wise avoid extremes, excesses & complacency."
- The Tao Te Ching
People used to always tell me about the gray area because I saw the world in black & white. Black & White is stark, clear, obvious. People wanted me to understand or at least take into account the complexity of the world & see that things aren’t so simple. The answer may be clear to you in your head but the world is so complicated, people are so complicated, the world is not in your head. This lesson stuck with me, because now I have a difficult time seeing things in another way. The world seems to be more excited about describing things in terms of stark black & white. Part of the problem is that “gray area” sounds so… gray. Maybe if there was a way to understand this using words that are more exciting people would be hyped on it. If it didn’t sound like some elderly person’s unused bits. The logo for GOBLINKO is the Ping Pang, a mix between the yin yang & Akira pill. It is supposed to evoke both of those things. The pill which unlocks dormant psychic powers & the idea of an opposite but interconnected cycle. I seek balance in existence. Right now, the extremes are at least getting the most attention. The world is just as complicated as ever if not more so. But, the world of you in your head, thinking that things operate this or that way is much stronger. People live their lives through their little reaction boxes, living life for reactions, watching other people’s reactions.
