Added 2023-01-05 17:37:23 +0000 UTCI’ve been thinking a lot about art styles & what people are trying to communicate, because that is essentially what Art is about, communication. My hand drawn style was more about clarity & punching you in the face with the imagery. What I’ve been working on with AI is more subtle, weirder & painterly. I’m using it for what I like about it, which is the weird patterns & textures that evoke the weird biological geometry of things like brittle stars. I recognize that these styles are totally divergent & when I was younger I’d try & distance myself from previous incarnations. Now, however, the change was necessitated by the stroke & enabled by a technology that is almost magic! Plus my brain is so much different than where I was at 15 years ago, it’s insane. I’m still the same person, but different!
