Thanks for your remark. From a musician's standpoint, a grand where there is so much traffic coming from the front door and down the stairwell means that it is there purely for decorative purposes. I have taught piano to amateurs and professionals for years in their home and they practice their grand in a quiet area that feels secure at the back, with good lighting and acoustics. A tile floor is the worst acoustically and I guarantee you no one is playing or practicing this beauty. If decoration is all that it is there for, what a shame. Kind of like people who use their piano as a table top for a clutter of too many photos.
