It's a meticulous 2006 recreation of a vernacular home design popular in the Midwest: the Parlor-by-Pass floorplan. If the listing didn't tell me the house was new, I genuinely would not have known. While the interior is a little but too trendy for my taste (I've grown rather sick of contractor gray walls after 3 years of ubiquity), there's no doubt that this is a beautifully high-quality home with a small, but spacious footprint, urbane charm, and timeless design.
