[DEVBLOG#277] Vanilla Anomaly Expanded - Insanity infographics

Hello everyone and welcome to another development blog!

I have now finished moving into my new house, well, almost, still some boxes to bring over and unpack, but that means I will be modding more, modding faster and modding better! I finally have a big enough desk to get a second monitor! Two monitors means two mods at the same time, right?

I have now finished all the infographics on Anomaly Expanded - Insanity mod, which means we will be proceeding to release. I reckon the mod will be out by the weekend, so if you were holding off on your Anomaly playthrough - you just need to hold off for a while longer.

I know why you're here, you know why you're here, lets see some of those sexy infographics. They should make everything very clear and explain every mechanic that the mod will bring to the table.

The way I have formatted the order of these infographics should take you through the mod step by step - from being sane and losing sanity, to eventually regaining that sanity and becoming rehumanized.

Let me know what you think!

Ah, nothing like a new enemy for my colony of cyber-Romans to face down. First defeating the mechanoid swarm, then the Bugs, then the Empire - now the maddening forces of Chaos itself. "WHERE ARE THE TRAITORS?!"

Dick Turnip

Ceremonial suicide works a bit different - player is in control whether they want to do it or not as it’s a ritual. Plus, it’s not really comparable to self harm - it’s a cultural thing, not an emotional state. Plus, disabling it would essentially disable the entire meme which the player can already do with cherry picker. Or, player can simply not pick bushido. Void self harm in the insanity mod is not something player has as much control over as the ceremonial suicide from the bushido meme.

It's good that the self-harm option is turned off by default. Are you going to do something similar for seppuku in Vanilla Memes Expanded?

Slippyfopp

No changes to the system - as in, they immediately become inhumanized on the first mental break they get.

Oskar Potocki

What happens to the Inhumanization Desired precept? Can pawns still lose humanity to mental breaks, or do they need to drain their own sanity first? And does this mean captured cultists can eventually be deprogrammed?

Scott Dockery

Wow this mod will be hard!

Manlor

I have to say this mod makes me want the Anomaly DLC more than the actual content of the Anomaly DLC.

Alissa DeWitt

Absolutely love it!

Jerry

This is what anomaly was missing
