It was based on Mona's 440 in San Francisco:
I couldn't find any interior photos of the original Mona's, so I got to make it up. I wanted to give Moira's a very different look than previous bars Lillian has been to. It's supposed to be more upscale than 63 or the Rabbit Hole, so I intentionally left everything looking brighter and sleeker.
