Hi patrons!

Lillian's actually missing out on a good story here. Teruko's dialogue in panels 1-3 reads:

I was in San Francisco— I was fifteen — and I ran around a corner and slammed straight into a group of white Air Force pilots! I thought I’d broken my ankle!
One pilot said “our mother is a doctor” and they all laughed, which confused me. Then they carried me to an obviously Chinese medical clinic and that’s how I met Doctor Margaret Chung.
Dr Chung believes that girls from all backgrounds should become doctors. So she began questioning me about everything — my grades, my goals, my parents. I had no idea what was going on!

Barry needed to make sure that some key words would peek out from behind the cigarette thought balloons. So full disclosure, the actual word balloons have some weird spacing, and a few repetitions of "this particularly rapid unintelligible patter isn’t generally heard and if it is it doesn’t matter!"

Thanks, as always, for supporting me on Patreon! Even $1/month means a lot, as I juggle this webcomic, political cartoons, theater newsletter cartoons, personal artwork, and [recently reduced hours at my] part-time job.
