After school, Akane Nishino was walking home alone through the usually quiet alleyways. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, leaving long shadows stretching across the streets. Normally, nothing out of the ordinary happened here, but tonight felt different.
A group of men suddenly appeared, blocking her path. They called out to her, trying to lure her somewhere, but Nishino ignored them and continued walking. Her calm defiance only fueled their frustration. One of the men brandished a knife, forcing Nishino to hesitate and panic.
Before she could react, another man appeared behind her and struck the back of her neck with a sharp blow. Darkness quickly overtook her consciousness, and she collapsed. The group had successfully abducted her.
As she came to in the dim confines of a hidden room, the ropes bit into her wrists and ankles. She struggled weakly, realizing she was fully restrained and at the mercy of her captors. Fear clawed at her chest — the reality of being completely powerless was sinking in.
