Just subscribed a few weeks ago and been listening every day. I was listening to another podcast on Christian anarchism and it struck me that with Constantine assimilation of that movement it was a great example of synthesis and co-opting into the system of the state. Not a believer and apologies if this is entry level stuff. Really glad I've subscribed and looking forward to the next part in this.

I've not read that piece by derrida but at the same time that pointing out that the mechanicist and simple view of history is not from Marx but from the revisionism of Bernstein, Soviet diamat, and current neoricardians (looking at you cockshott) is needed, i think the Hegel/Fichte mention deserves a shoutout too. Will “Moby Dick” play a part in this specific series or will us Dickheads have to hold out still for the Melville ep(s?)… the 19th century conversion of mammalian bodies into “oil” feels prophetic in relation to this topic , at least to my goofy ass. It's bizarre, and the only reason I can think of is that they're the only 2 Beattys. If there were 5, I wouldn't confuse them
