FLAWLESS VICTORY!! | That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime - Episode 24 | Season 2 Finale!!

Comments

Something left out of the anime (this one actually kinda makes sense) vampires are much weaker on nights with a new moon otherwise Roy wouldn't have lost to the weaker Laplace.

Overlord_Ashalon

By the way, I forget which episode it was, but claiman had mentioned that he that he had gotten worried when he lost contact with Pirone, his pinkie finger. The anime kind of glossed over it, but he had her spying on the Falmuth army, likely to report the moment the fighting started so he can swoop in and snatch the souls. However, before she could report that the army had already been annihilated Diablo and Razen started their fight, and when Razen unleashed his nuclear cannon Diablo poofed it up... straight into Pirone. 🤣 Guess that's why she was only the pinkie finger.

SonicKing2004

Haha right! Freaking Devourer is dope!

The Heck Podcast

The others really are bad at naming things lately. The other demon lords get such awesome nicknames like The Earthquake and The Destroyer but they just saddle Rimuru with The Newbie? Especially after Rimuru gave their group such an awesome new name? At the very least they could have called him something like The Devourer. If I were Rimuru I would revoke their right to use The Octagram for that insult.

SonicKing2004

The character's name is Fuze. The author's name is Fuse. It might be true that Fuze is the author's alter ego, but the names aren't the same. Japanese definitely distinguishes between the two.

But was he really trying to put Leon off his guard? I think he was just indulging himself. Of course, with Rimuru, Guy was trying to coerce him.

myst0dreamer

In response to 8, I love how guy is always so sensual with people to put them off their guard like when Leon visited the ice capital and Guy was like “you know I could be a woman if it was for your preference” 😂

Kcosta

Glad you’re ok!

Cerulean Spectre

I can't match you for style, that's for sure. But of course we're not in a competition.

Hey everyone! So I'm late. Like excessively late. Sorry, and forgive me? So like a good chunk of the country we were hit with a MASSIVE ice/snow blizzard a few days back. We weathered through just fine, but uh, let's just say there have been some extenuating circumstances the last couple days that has prevented me from even logging into patreon let alone watching this reaction. One of which was my mother being stuck on the complete opposite end of the city without a way to get back home. Trying to drive a Mazda through snow drifts is not recommended FYI. 😑 ANYHOO, it's here! The end of Walpurgis.🥹 I am both sad and excited. Walpurgis is such an amazing arc/wild ride, it's sad it's over, but I also know what's coming... man whoever came up with the name 'Tempest' must be a psychic. 🙃 For clarity, I haven't had a chance to read anyone else's comments yet. So if I repeat something I am so sorry, I just figured I'd get my own thoughts out since I've waited so long to see this reaction. 😊 1. Trust me, if you ever read the LNs you will never feel even a SHRED of sympathy for Clayman. Oh poor baby felt unimaginable pain for what felt like an eternity? Good. Suffer. May you wallow in the bed of shit you cultivated you disgusting, cowardly, callow, cockaroach. 😤 He may have been manipulated to act, but he still made his choices of his own free will. F him and his overinflated sense of grandeur. Roy Valentine might have been callous about Clayman's snivelling and begging but he certainly wasn't wrong about it. Honest to goodness I was so happy the rest of the Demon Lords didn't try to vouch for him. 2. I will forever love everyone simping and fighting over who is Rimuru's BESTEST BEST FRIEND FOREVER AND EVER! 😆 Milim more or less telling Ramiris she can't sit with them is so hysterical. As to who would win a fight between the two, I would say pure strength wise goes to Milim. There are a couple instances that I think an argument could be made for Ramiris, but that would count as spoiling. 3. If you didn't catch, it the Woman Vampire Demon Lord's name is Luminus. As in the God the Holy Church prays to and believes in. The Holy Church that has spread the doctrine that all Monsters are Unholy, unclean, beasts that aren't capable of Holy Magic, and should be exterminated. The same Church that came riding into Tempest, started a fight, then slaughtered all of Rimuru's people. THAT Luminus. Just thought you'd find that interesting. Her hating Veldora is completely understandable, I can even sympathize with her... I'm still going to enjoy every moment Veldora and the others inadvertently ruin her plans. 😆 4. Yes. I absolutely would still take showers. If I could live in a hot soaking tub I would. Blasting clothes on and off would be helpful, but no power is taking the joys of life from me just so I can save a couple minutes getting ready. 5. I'm never sure who's 'thinking face' is funnier. Milim's or Ramiris. 🤣 6. LOVE that Rimuru makes a point to everyone that they can NOT be complacent. Especially him. He has no way of knowing if the resurrection ritual would ever work again in other circumstances. He just got all those people back, he doesn't want to get cocky and put anyone at risk. 7. Milim being forced to become responsible for the damage she did and acquiring what equates to 'minders' is AMAZING. Yes, they are technically now her disciples, but they also aren't hardwired to just say yes to whatever she wants like her Dragon Faithful. Now she has two very powerful, very responsible people forcing her to actually take responsibility for her land and people. Isn't it fabulous? 😁 8. Rimuru naming the new Demon Lord Council is completely unsurprising, but it's still one of the funniest, and tensest moments in the LNs. I'm always sad they cut out the best part of Guy's 'conversation' with Rimuru. While he was looming over Rimuru to remind him that it was in fact an AMAZING HONOR to be chosen to give their council a new name, he NIPPED Rimuru's ear. Its why Rimuru was sweating and so stiff. Guy you absolute deviant. 😂 9. You have very good instincts to not like those creepy ass clowns. You are definitely asking the right questions about them and their abilities. 10. The end scene with him soaring through the air ALWAYS makes me think of a couple episodes back with Shuna trying to dissuade Adalman from choosing to worship Rimuru as his new God. *Boing* *Boing* Your Leader and Savior everyone! 🤣 That's the only notes I have guys. Thanks for the awesome reaction. 🩷🩵💛

LaLa

The manga was just about keeping pace with Season 3, I suspect that they will put out Season 4 about when they both can arrive at the same point when it finishes.

myst0dreamer

I’m not sure where the manga is, I read the light novels as they came out. There’s a lot that gets skipped and kinda put back in later with the anime. As far a clayman, when you find out why he did what he did you’re gonna make the 😳 face. But that’ll be late season four at the soonest.

Richard Diaz

Did I hear you say that if we want to see the movie with you, there is another membership tier for that?

myst0dreamer

Good thought about the washer/dryer idea, maybe that is what he does. I was thinking mostly along the sterility/purity lines. ... Water Manipulation and all similar Skills enabling the manipulation of physical laws of nature, are now absorbed into Control Laws, (an umbrella category within Uriel Ultimate Skill) which generalizes all those kinds of Skills into some kind of order. Yes, now you point that out, Clayman had some sort of electrical encryption Skill where he monitored a number of sources simultaneously, and somehow his brain was able to make sense of all that. I don't know if that's what you're referring to, exactly. I also don't know what specific experiments you mean, because a lot of his experimentation didn't require any new Skills from Clayman.

myst0dreamer

To answer your point about skills from Clayman, apparently the only useful skill he learned from Clayman was Electrical Manipulation or something along those lines. It is why he starts experimenting with different stuff in the events after this season. Rimuru is highly advanced in Water Manipulation - it was one of his first skills he ever learned - so I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of washer and dryer system inside of his stomach/imaginary space that instantly cleans his clothes.

Sting Eucliffe

What about - hear me out - beanies/hats with wall freakin purgis or something of that nature

Bboyblock .

I don't think there's anyone who sympathizes with Clayman lol.

Scerician

your right because it take place s takes place in-between Season 1 and Season 2 but you watch it after the movie

Cerulean Spectre

Omg! I beat LaLa? Wow. Lol.

myst0dreamer

I didn't read any of the comments this time before I wrote my comment, and you covered everything I didn't. As for whether the last bit is a spoiler, I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, but it could easily be a big spoiler, so I would hold off for now.

myst0dreamer

There are so many little details in this one. 1. First I want to say, after you watch the movie, you should watch the 3 OVA’s Visions of Coleus. You definitely should watch Slime Diaries at some point, the part covered in the anime is all Season 1 stuff, and it is very slice-of-life. 2. Clayman is a Deathman, which is his race. There’s another description, but it’s kind of a spoiler at this point, although I really don’t think it’s a big deal. Anyway, a deathman can separate from his body and flee using ley lines, and can stay alive for a long time, in his spiritual form, although in a weakened state. Yuuki did have Kazalim’s soul within him, but he wasn’t controlling him (either way). You saw that he said resurrecting Kazalim was his payment to the Moderate Harlequin Alliance for their help. Yuuki also mentioned to them that he already had fulfilled the promise he made and Kazalim’s soul was placed in a homunculus body that was purchased from Thalion. She now goes by Kagali. And yes, Clayman was one of the clowns. He even had the requisite mask. He was just the one that was given the job of taking over Kazalim’s domain after his “death”. It’s a bit confusing, because how did Kazalim know to give Clayman his domain before Leon “killed” him? He was chosen as the most devious of the Alliance, not because of his strength. Also it was mentioned a few times that Kazalim was Clayman’s creator. It is not explained at this point. But Clayman and Kazalim, and all the clowns, are Deathmen. The Moderate Harlequin Alliance is a group that takes on odd jobs, but they do have a grudge against Leon, since he killed Kazalim. Don’t worry, not many people felt sorry for Clayman, backstory or no backstory. But the Clowns do have a very close bond between them, and they only trust each other. Somehow they decided to include Yuuki in that. I mentioned last episode that their President is Kazalim, but since Kazalim calls Yuuki “Boss”, they call him “Boss”, too. 3. That’s an interesting thought you had there. For some reason no one ever asks that question, what Skills did Rimuru absorb from Clayman? I don’t know of any in particular. At this point in Rimuru’s development, I don’t think it’s mostly necessary for him to pick up anything from Clayman. He’s got all these Skills from his people via Food Chain, he’s got Raphael’s Ability Adjust subskill to pick through them and discard what’s useless, unusable, or redundant, and she adjusts the Skills to be in a more organized and consolidated form, and throws them into Uriel (Ultimate Skill, Lord of Vows). By no means can he do everything his subordinates can do, Rimuru is somehow not cut out for everything. He gave them Skills, and they often made them into Skills that Rimuru can’t fully duplicate. In any case, Clayman’s Skills may also not be suited to Rimuru. And he didn’t have any Ultimate Skills. Some people have thought Rimuru’s constantly using Beelzebub is a bad thing, but first, he decided that it was the only Ultimate Skill he could show, and it is one of the most natural for him to use, being intrinsic to being a Slime. But of course, it is much more versatile and powerful than it once was. 4. I know I said, Veldora’s memories were within Rimuru. But not because he absorbed them because Veldora was within him. Remember all this time Veldora was within the barrier, and Great Sage/Raphael could not access his Skill, his nature, or his memories. It was only when the barrier was broken that Raphael had access, and the memories are part of the function of the Soul Corridor that was formed at that time. It is a dynamic, not static, memory. And the Skill Veldora formalizes this process, which was formed when Raphael finally got a chance to analyze Veldora. 5. Making clothes. Rimuru currently uses the method of storing outfits in his Stomach that he can change at will. I believe they are purified in some way. You don’t need to worry about cleanliness, eating, etc., because Rimuru believes in those creature comforts. It’s kind of his reason for living. What everyone else does about that, I don’t know. The lower level monsters like hobgoblins, are still physical in large part, and have physical needs. As they evolve that is less and less necessary. In the case of some higher level majin, they have a Skill called Create Material. Demons in particular have it as one of their species Skills. They just create material out of magicules, and they can imbue it will all kinds of properties (but a really skilled artisan can still make better materials). 6. The fact that Carrion and Frey resigned as Demon Lords (as well as the involuntary resignation of Clayman) actually fits the future Guy had in mind for the Demon Lords. He thought it was time for a change, that the Demon Lords would only include the truly strong going forward. Why? Hmmmm. But he thought as much to himself after he met with Leon. Anyway, the three who left just happened to be the newest and weakest (excepting Leon). There are three generations of Demon Lords. First is Guy, Ramiris, and Milim. Then Valentine, Daggrull, Deeno. Then Leon and the three who left. They talked about how often they had to meet to come up with a name for themselves. They actually took so long at it, that the humans started calling them The Ten Great Demon Lords, and the name stuck, much to their chagrin. But that’s why The Eight Great Demon Lords is unacceptable. 7. Hah, finally Milim will be getting around to ruling her domain after, what? 3000 years. But she did mature a bit recently, under Rimuru’s wing.

myst0dreamer

Time for some quick trivia : In the LN and the manga, Guy actually bites Rimuru's ear after telling him to come up with a new name for the Demon Lords Deeno's full race is Fallen Angel, for some reason it was just shortened to "Fallen" in the anime. When Rimuru was fighting Clayman, he used Thought Acceleration on him both while beating him up and while devouring him. It's a skill that has the effect of slowing down one's perception of time, meaning time seemed slower to Clayman during that time. To be more precise, it was 1 million times slower. So, while the beatdown only lasted a few seconds for us, it lasted 9.5 months for Clayman. Almost 10 months without being able to move, and having to slowly see each punch approach, before feeling the pain for weeks as the fist very slowly caves his face in. His death was very likely just as long, if not longer depending on if Rimuru took his time devouring him. Looking up the details of the previous piece of trivia made me discover that there's a spin-off, non-canon manga series called Clayman's revenge, in which Clayman gets a last-second skill allowing him to wake up 70 years in the past with full knowledge of his future, so he tries to avoid his death at the hands of Rimuru. I haven't read anything else about it aside from the synopsis, so I only know that it contradicts parts of the main story and is therefore not canon. It was mentioned by Ramiris at the end of the first season, and by Leon when he met Guy prior to Walpurgis, that Leon has a plan to summon a specific individual from another world, hence why he summoned Shizu but considered it a failure, and why he had convinced a few nations to try summoning otherworlders as well (where the kids that Rimuru helped came from). He most likely used his influence as a former Hero to convince them. There's one thing that I hesitate to mention because I don't know if it would be considered a spoiler (it's something that wasn't said upfront, but there are many hints throughout the episode that you can easily piece together, and it's about the Demon Lord Luminus Valentine)

KeterLordFR
