One that I like to point to is Frederic March in the 1935 Les Miserables film. In addition to Valjean, he also plays the lookalike man who’s mistakenly arrested as him, and makes it completely believable that they’re different people.

I am not sure whether or not you have seen it yet but there is a version of Jekyll & Hyde that is with Michael Caine. There are many versions of the story but the two best films have to be that one with Michael Caine and the one with Spencer Tracy. There are many older films that show people who can truly act and not have to rely on CGI . Another great film is one one of Angela Lansbury’s early films. It is The Picture ofDorian Gray in 1945.
