Good idea

Jack Tiggelman

It's been a while since I've been in high school, but I'm guessing the issue regarding the privacy stalls is lack of time. (It wasn't clear whether she was using the locker room for a swim class, or after school activity.) I remember barely having enough time to get to the locker room from my previous class, change, and get in line for roll call. If there's a limited number of privacy stalls, you run the risks of being late if you are one of many people wanting to use them. (And maybe I'm dating myself, but since when have privacy stalls been a thing in locker rooms? My body insecure teenage self would have gladly been tardy occasionally if it meant I could change alone.)

You have a legitimate and reasonable stance on the issue. Good video.

That would probably be more dangerous too.

I would emphasize several issues more: Many students are body conscious at that age and dislike changing in front of others - I know I did 50 years ago and it has been an issue since kids first were taught swimming and so on. There are probably girls in the locker room attracted to females already. The statistics tell us this. This would have also made me uncomfortable as a student when frankly everything tends to make teenagers uncomfortable. This trans person is likely to use the stalls anyway as she is not yet presenting in her body as she would wish - she has extra 'bits' and so on. This trans person could well be at risk of physical harm if made to use the male change rooms.

I would put more emphasize on the consequences of the these types of policy. If you force transgender woman to use male locker rooms, the discomfort to her outweighs the discomfort of cis-women having to share a locker room with trans woman.

I think the best way to go about this is to first understand her point of view and why she says the things she does, and then debunk why it’s wrong. Lori Quarry-DiCola has a good point that most people are only exposed to two genders in biology classes. As someone who used to be transphobic myself, I can say that that ends up with people thinking that the issue is about delusions about being the other sex, or usually men saying identify as women to look at girls. Another argument that I’ve heard is that people can be confused into identifying as trans because of what the transgender community tells them. Granted the last one can happen if the person has body dysmorphia and gets told the wrong thing, but that’s rarely the case, whereas there are people who will claim that’s what all transgender people are. The best way to counter these is to tell stories of actual trans people, and provide education on the psychology and biology behind being transgender.

Can you add some links as to what science is finding out about gender? Most people have exposure to only two genders, so they don't even think, they just push away what is different. The more exposure to the normality of gender fluidity, the more likely they are to facepalm, "Duh, nature does it all the time, humans are part of nature." https://www.theguardian.com/science/2019/feb/24/meet-the-neuroscientist-shattering-the-myth-of-the-gendered-brain-gina-rippon or https://www.huffpost.com/entry/is-homosexuality-populati_b_784449?ncid=engmodushpmg00000004

im about to release a collab with rationality rules so before i do, i want to make sure everybody very clearly understands my position on trans rights

Just finished watching. In my opinion, it’s definitely something that you should hold activist mommy accountable for. Her article (and the complaints of the student) both take a selfish view in which the world should revolve around their opinions. I totally agree and feel that, although not in the “cult” part of your channel, is a very valid and important message.
