Re: Zero - Protagonist gets Isekaied, but instead of being OP, he gets the ability to die and come back to life at certain milestones in his journey (with all the trauma that entails). 2. Hell's Paradise - Criminals sentencced to death are given a stay of execution if they and a Samurai guard will go to a mysterious island to find the secret to eternal youth, 3. Durarara - Plot is a bit hard to explain. It's got gang wars, serial killers, demon possessed swords, high schoolers and a Dullahan Biker Chic. 4. The Emminence in Shadow - Combine Edgelord Teenager plus Fantasy World, Battle Harem, a Mysterious Cult, Vampires, Sword Fights and Overlord levels of "All According to Plan" and you get this anime. 5. So I'm a Spider, So What? High School Girl gets Isekaied after her classroom is blown up and gets reborn as a Spider, meanwhile her classmates all got rebron as normal humans and elves. Very similar vibe to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. 6. GATE: Thus the Japanese Self Defense Force Fought There - Army from a Fantasy World tries to invade Japan and then Japan sends the Japanese Self Defense Force to the Fantasy World in a peace keeping action. Oh and the protagonist is a massive Otaku who gets a kind of typical harem. 7. Black Lagoon - Japanese Businessman winds up becoming a part of modern day pirates. Very much a modern day version of Cowboy Bebop and just as good IMO. 8.. Outlaw Star - Classic Anime that combines Space Pirates, Ninjas, Samurai and Westerns into one anime. 9. Monogatari Series - A Series of animes revolving around a high schooler and his encounters with various creatures from Japanese Folklore. Starts with Bakemonogatari. 10. A Certain Magical Index - High School Student attending Academy City (so named because it's a city state comprised almost entirely of schools) finds himself dragged into conflicts between Science and Magic. Has two spin-off series, A Certain Scientific Rail Gun and a Certain Scientific Rail Gun that explore more of the Scientific side of the setting, while the main series focuses more on the Magic side. It’s a very cute romance slice of life with fun characters and cute moments. Idk if that’s up ur alley but it’s my fav show of all time!

2024-04-14 10:33:01 +0000 UTCOh I'm gonna throw a +1 suggestion to Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, I loved that one. Its 64 episodes according to wikipedia, so a bit of a longer series but its fantastic throughout. Assuming you two somehow haven't seen it of course.

It’s probably the most popular Manhwa/webtoon along with Solo Leveling but it’s so different. The world building is insane. - Frieren : a chill and beautiful fantasy anime about what happens after the demon king gets defeated. The English dub is great ! - Bungo Stray Dogs : such an underrated show. It’s very difficult to describe this show but it’s about super-powered detectives, the mafia, and the characters are inspired by real life books authors. It’s a fun show with gut wrenching moments here and there. Season 1 (12 episodes) is good enough but s2 onwards is what really got me hooked - heavenly delusion : AMAZING show. It’s very short but it’s a very well executed post-apocalyptic mystery. - Attack on Titan if you’ve never watched it ! - eighty-six 86 : one of the best mech anime ever - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood : a classic and still one of the best anime of all time. The English dub is the best
