When they couldn't make play dates he decided to write them into a story and we get Overlord. Guard your heart strings, Overlord has a bad habit of getting you to invest in characters. Nabe is a battle maid from the ninth floor, one of the group along with Sebas that Ains met when he came out of the meeting room in episode one. Overlord is bad about doing cliffhangers at impending battles it's nice to see you so invested in the episode that the end catches you unawares.
