Future Plans #37

Hey everyone!

Next reward post for this month is an early preview regarding my next game that'll come after Reanimation Scheme — Fate of the Celestial Mirror, a xianxia otome/BL game!

So first, an update on the trailer situation that I mentioned last month. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen me making an upset tweet about being ghosted by my video editor whom I commissioned & paid back in May 2024. The bad news is that she never responded to my emails or gave me my trailer, but the good news is that after emailing her many times (or maybe she saw my tweet idk), she quietly refunded me on PayPal. So at least, I now have the funds to hire a new video editor for a trailer for the game — though this means I wasted 10 months for no reason waiting on a trailer I never received 😂 I'm praying this new video editor won't be another 10 months wait again, because I can't launch my Steam page to announce the game/collect wishlists without a trailer...

Anyway. Since I can't show the trailer after all as preview, I'll show a small something that's related. You may remember me mentioning another key art / promotional art piece last time, which the artist has been working on. Originally, it was going to be worked on after all the demo assets are done since it's lower in priority, but since I'm currently on the waitlist for video editors because everyone's schedules are soooo booked up, I ended up deciding to rearrange the schedule and ask the artist to do the key art first, so that it can be included in the trailer. This will hopefully spice up the trailer with more pretty illustrations, because I don't want to spoil the game's romance CGs by including them in the trailer this time like I did with Reanimation Scheme.

As with before, my lead artist (chicknese) is doing the key art, and here is a preview of the colored sketch that she gave me:
