Sorry for the delay on posting this, I've been lowkey dead and trying to recover still π Anyway, this is a future project preview post on Fate of the Celestial Mirror (my xianxia otome/BL game lined up after Reanimation Scheme), for the month of September, and this time, I want to share a feature of the game β letters!
Letters
Sometimes, when you're on the map, you'll notice that your home has a yellow bird icon above the label. What does that mean?
Yup you guessed right. Time to go home and check on your β¨ letters β¨
It's basically like other games where you sometimes receive text messages or mail from other characters β except here, they're delivered in the form of cute little birds, waiting for you on your roof.
And when you click on them, you can view the mail, potentially reply to it and may even find item attachments that you can receive!
In the actual universe, the birds are actually Communication Talismans, which take the form of a magic bird zooming to the recipient's destination to deliver the message as a letter.
These letters will be a small supplementary mechanic in game, where you'll learn more flavor information about the characters and the world itself, as well as have the opportunity to start bonus side quests or side arcs.
PS: Have you noticed that there are different birds? That's right β each of the main characters and important NPCs will have their own unique birb when they send you a letterπ
