I am SO excited to share this month's reveal with you all — after waiting impatiently for so long, the sprite for the MC is finally complete!!
As with before, the project in question is Fate of the Celestial Mirror, a xianxia otome/BL game. If you have no idea what that is, here is a link to a previous post with a very simple overview of the project: https://www.patreon.com/posts/future-plans-13-88410387
Anyway, are you ready?? Behold!
Both the first name and the pronouns are changeable by the player in game. And, of course, you can choose between the two sprite options you see above for your MC appearance — or you could even hide the side sprite entirely during the dialogue! (though the MC appearance you choose would still appear in CGs)
My artist and I discussed the idea of doing extended character customization for a stretch goal in the future, where you can change parts like the bangs / back hairstyle / hair accessories / eye shape etc. I personally would LOVE that feature, but considering how much more money that's going to cost (especially since the variations all have to be in each CG that MC is in)... it's not going to be feasible unless we somehow, by some miracle, reach that stretch goal on Kickstarter.
Anyway, that's really far off in the future, so let's not worry about that for now. But I hope you like MC's default design still!
