Future Plans #1

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited to announce that we've just reached our second Patreon goal, which means new rewards have been unlocked for patrons of tier 3 and above! Thank you so much to all of you for your generous support, making Emberfate & my projects possible!

I honestly didn't expect to reach the goal this early, hence why the goal added rewards that were more oriented towards the future post-Emberfate completion. Buuut with Emberfate being 3 episodes away from the end, perhaps it's not a bad time to start revealing bits and pieces about the next project in line after Emberfate is done. 

Let's start with a teaser image of one of the main characters / love interests!

Now that I have your attention, allow me to ramble a bit more about some details of this project, Ascendants. LOL

Note: The only work that's been done for this project so far is the art being commissioned from various freelancers very slowly over the course of years. All of these art expenses so far have been paid for out of pocket by me, and I have not yet touched the script or done any work for the project except for directing the character art & CG art for the first chapter. So for those of you concerned about Emberfate / Reanimation Scheme, please don't worry! This won't affect the progress or development for Emberfate and Reanimation Scheme at all, as I don't intend to start working on Ascendants until both projects are done.

WHAT IS ASCENDANTS?

Ascendants is an otome / amare visual novel of high fantasy genre, equal parts plot and romance.

It will be a free, episodic release — though the chapters will be much longer, so it will no longer be released monthly. After all, there will be seven love interests this time in Ascendants — three male, two female and two non-binary love interests for you to pursue! 

Tentatively, the plan is for the game to be remastered and released as a paid product at the end when all chapters are completed, but during its episodic release, all chapters will be available for free to the public — and of course, Patreon supporters will get early access to new episodes, just like Emberfate!

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?

I'll be mean and withhold some information for now, but this brief description is what I can share today: 

You are a demi-deity, the Ascendant of Music and Dance, participating in a tournament with other ascendants for the chance to ascend to full deityhood. As you navigate your way through the challenging trials and climb your way up the rankings, will you find allies or enemies, friends or foes — or perhaps, even a lover to accompany you for eternity?

WHAT FEATURES ARE THERE?

Ascendants will be more of a standard visual novel, instead of having a unique layout / format like Emberfate. But I have many exciting surprises in store for you all!

Once again, there will be plenty of customization options for the main character in Ascendants — you'll be able to choose your name, pronouns, skin color, origin background, and even what kind of deity powers you specialize in! 

Oh, and of course, if you haven't noticed, this project has extremely lovely art, done by Nipuni for character art and Remnantation (also Emberfate artist) for CGs!
