I have a theory. It may involve spoilers for those who haven't watched past this episode, so don't read it unless you've seen the whole of season 5A. As it was revealed that Theo knew about what happened between Stiles and Donovan at the end of this episode, it's safe to assume, and is later revealed, that Theo was in the library too. My theory is that he was up the steps that Donovan went up. He hid or maybe Donovan trusted him because of their earlier conversation, idk. I think Theo was the one who threw the piece of scaffolding that killed Donovan. Either Theo or one of the dread doctors. I'm leaning towards Theo. Here's my reasoning. A dread doctor wouldn't care about showing himself as previously shown when they killed Lucas in front of the group. But Theo would be more careful. Theo wants to drive the pack apart. That's his whole goal to drive everyone apart so he can assume the role of Alpha. And he basically set up Donovan to go after Stiles. Theo knew Stiles wouldn't be killed. He wanted him to succeed in fighting Donovan off because that would drive the first big rift in Scott's pack. But just in case Stiles needed help Theo was there to make sure it looked to Stiles that he, Stiles, had just killed Donovan. In other words Stiles didn't kill Donovan. That's my theory and it's all but confirmed at this point.

Also Lydia meant the surgery’s vision wasn’t hers but her grandma and baby memory was definitely her own. Every single problem in this season could be fixed with communication it’s so annoying.
