It's a great show!! Would love to see you react to it. To answer your question. Danes are the Vikings from Denmark who of course practice Old Norse and yes. Anglo Saxton's of Wessex a kingdom of England and Christian. So yes. Uhtred tries to stay out of the politics and religion and not pick sides and just do what is best for people to have the ability to provide for their families the basics and be treated fairly and humanely. Noticing that both politics and religion lead to the poor being dead. He fights for everyone no matter what religion or political view. He encourages the people to rise up and fight for them and their families with the ability and freedom to choose for themselves what is best for them. He has a bit of a brave heart vibe to him.
