The concept of the red door storyline is insane but I love it!! We've always seen Elijah as this noble badass that makes heads roll. However they've never really showed the effects of those deaths have had on Elijah much. The focus has been him simply sacrificing for his family in general but especially for Klaus.

I love this episode so much! One of my fav in this season. I loved all the scenes with Elijah and Esther and it was great to see Nina in this ep! Elijah's backstory with tatia was really sad and it sucks to see Elijah going through remembering all this. I loved the story of the red door and the fact that, that's why Elijah is always so put together and clean because its how he copes with the bad things he's done. I thought that was a cool detail to Elijah's character. I agree with you about Sebastian he does a great job as Mikael and I liked the scenes with him and cami. I also really enjoyed seeing everyone help Klaus against Mikael and help save Klaus's life, what a badass scene.

I don't think it was apart of the spell, I think Davina is just adding one to use it to break the sire line.

Klaus did beat him over the necklace. Mikael was outraged, so he stabbed him with that sword against the tree 🙂

I like that Esther’s immortality spell was different/had some variations to it in comparison with Tessa’s original one. Makes sense that a parent with such twisted ideals about family/power would think of a sire line as an important asset in include.

Klaus did not beat Mikael over the necklace. He was stabbed against a tree, and he almost died in this episode if Davina and Kol didn't stop the power in the stake. It's either 4-4 or 5-3 Mikael.

Davina is elenas age season 1 so it would be the same issue when talking about damon and stefan going after her at that age and that is why I don't see it as an issue. Kol is the youngest living sbling meaning he was also turned whilst a teen but now is a thousand years old. same thing with stefan and elena and with stefan it was a bit more weird as he followed her life and saw her grow up. I like kol because his flip floping to one side to the other fits his charecter so well, he thinks of him self always.

I think the sire bond is just part of being an original, Davina is just adding a sire bond spell to her new spell to help unlink them from Klaus.
