I like Matt too he’s a very underrated character and definitely the best emotional touch stone for Elena to get her humanity back. When Damon snaps his neck, I knew this can’t be true they can’t kill him off this way. I loved what Damon/ Stefan spoke to her. Damon telling her about the weight lifting off her chest and the joy seeing Matt alive was done really well and Damon snapping his neck made more sense it looked real and believable. Rebekah is a darling 😍 the next 2 episodes are really good.

It was so smart and so Damon of him to come up with this plan too, and also very damon of him to leave stefan out of it. I love the differences in how they treat her despite both loving her the same amount. Stefan can never lie to her even for her own good and he's too soft for her. Damon gives her everything straight the way it is, no sugar coating, he does what he needs to do even if it means her going through a little pain for the greater good, and he doesnt take any bullshit even from her.

Instant tears. I graduate with a BA in Cybersecurity on May 1st. I followed my moms example of working and paying for my education 100% on my own to graduate with no student loans. I’ve been thinking a lot about her lately and how I wish she could’ve been there for all my huge life events.

I mean of all the people around her, she kind of just let him float and didn’t really try to do anything bad to him. That was smart of Damon too- because she hadn’t shown any consideration for anyone else. Matt is vulnerable and human, and she died for him. Beautiful serendipity.

YES this was the plan. Damon gave Matt the ring and there is no way in hell that Damon would have done that and that Stefan wouldn't have stopped him.

2021-04-17 21:41:16 +0000 UTCI thought that the phone ringing thing was Caroline's mom. Silas was at the Salvatore house when Caroline drove off and so he wouldn't have had time to beat her home. Then Silas says "she's right where you left her" Meaning Caroline told her mom to stay in the living room so I think it was only THEN that Silas knocked Liz out and pretended to be her when Bonnie got there.
