Katherine would have done that with or without Damon rubbing that in her face lol. Damon's just doing what he does best, playing the bad guy for the greater good and taking the blame. But agreed he could have waited a bit before letting her know she was out of a wolf. I do believe Damon is more reckless if Katherine is involved, understandably so

I 100% believed Liz when she told Caroline she wouldn't do anything to hurt her.
Oh Stefan "Don't provoke her Damon" says the man who pretended to want her, kissed her in order to vervain her then chained her to a chair in a concrete cell and tortured her... but DAMON let's not provoke her LMAO!
I don't think Katherine acted as she did solely due to Damon. She didn't seem riled, just surprised. However, she clearly had all of these pieces in play for a while and Katherine is NOT Damon she doesn't do things impulsively. Now Damon killing Mason DID require her to move on to Plan B and so if Matt is hurt or Tyler triggers his curse because she needs a werewolf Damon shoulders a lot of the responsibility for that cause he killed Mason. Jenna though, Stefan and Elena were just naive to think they could play Katherine.
Paul Wesley s the most beautiful crier ever and I LOVE that he played Stefan like that. I don't even ship Stelena but that made me cry a couple times.

Another thing that Paul Wesley (Stefan) has is his crying face, never saw anybody else having such a gorgious crying face, it's another Paul thing.

Damon knows that he had to kill Mason but the face he does at the end, he feels bad, he relates to him, he knows what does it means to be used by Katherine.

Well, intense episode, to say the least, Elena was annoying at the beginning of the episode even if her tendency to want to get involved in everything, even if it ended up helping Stefan who found himself in a bad position, it was especially the fact of 'harassing' Stefan with her messages to find out what was happening every minute, that was quite annoying.
Then, I find that even if Mason's death is regrettable from a strategic point of view, Damon did well to kill him however the call to Katherine was really stupid, he wanted to brag in front of her that he figured out her plan, instead of keeping his advantage a secret, he could have been one step ahead of her, unlike usual.
Then, it's funny to see you speculating on the role of Mason, the stone, you must also know however that even if the stone is called 'moonstone' it does not apply only to the Moon, theoretically like they said they can also break the curse of the sun that burns the vampires, it would make more sense in Katherine's case to want the vampires to walk in the sun instead of freeing the wolves which are a predatory species towards vampires.
Anyway you will discover all that, very good episode I love the dynamics, the dialogue between Connie 😉 and her mother, Damon and Bonnie, Bonnie and Connie, in short I can't wait for you to see the rest.
Thanks for posting this episode unexpectedly, pleasant surprise.
