Hack'n Stalk 3 [v0.3]

Hi folks! Here's release v0.3! It features a new activity on day 3 and an experiment with yet another playable character. This time I worked hard for a shorter interaction because I'll need to be away from my development workstation for some days (maybe until the end of this month).

As always, post any bugs you may found here and I will post a quick-fix if some game-breaking issue is found. Notice there is a known bug with old saved games that may lead to some inconsistent dialogs. Starting a new game will solve the problem.

ABOUT PROJECT PROGRESS

As posted before, I'm being struck by some life demands that weren't expected to appear so early. This is causing the game to go on a direction somewhat different from the initial plans. The idea of repeatable events and branches would require a lot of dynamic writing (which is way more time consuming than creating animations and interactive scenes). So HnS3 is becoming a game more like HnS 1 and 2, with a sequence of fixed story events that can be completed in a few different ways but now featuring much more dynamic animations.

I'm really sorry about that. But I think it's better follow a path that will allow me to finish the story more easily than delivering very little progress for months or putting the project on hold. I just can't sleep well while there is an unfinished project on my desk (and I need to sleep!)

Comments

I'm still trying to find a Mac available to make OSX builds. My old one is dead.

Mac version please! :-)

Honestly, that sounds fine. HnS 2 really blew me away with variety of endings. HnS1... not so much, but HnS 2 was such an amazing improvement.

Thanks! I probably already said here that I know that I suck when it come to publicize these projects. Advertising is a skill I definitively don't have... But I'll keep trying!

The Architect

It's ok, you can always go bigger and bolder with the next project. Remember to advertise your games a little, they deserve to be played and I'm sure it will provide more support if it's important for you :)
