I agree 100% with your assessment Brother.. and I love that the show touches just enough on each point that you make here to leave us with more questions than answers!!

2025-01-05 12:37:48 +0000 UTCSo Meyoung is still missing. Dong-eun was going to use him to get Yeon-jin’s confession about killing that student all those years ago. So it’s doubtful that Dong-eun would be responsible for his disappearance. But did he confront Yeon-Jin and she had something to do with it? She already has a corrupt police officer working for her family… and that student’s death was ruled a suicide by the corrupt law officials working with her family. Dong-eun’s new partner does seem to have his own revenge story going on. We saw that his dad was killed and the killer is writing him taunting letters from prison….so that’s an interesting twist. One thing I think I found out about Dong-eun’s motivation is it seems to be more than just a personal vendetta. We saw through her flashbacks and her recalling events that back in school, she witnessed the bully gang bullying that student..and she did nothing about it. Later after the student’s “suicide” the bully gang starting to target her which led to all the abuse she endured. Dong-eun even said it was karma that she endured the abuse because she did nothing to stop the abuse that she witnessed the other student go through. I think everything seems to be pointing to that student….because it is the key thing that will take down Yeon-jin. Dong-eun told Meyoung that Yeon-jin was responsible for the student’s death and that the corrupt cops and Yeon-jin’s family kept that student’s body locked away to hide the truth. So the dead student’s body is the smoking gun it appears. But yeah there is so many plot points out there in this drama..it’s great.
