It is a bit slow moving, but, the pure raw feel of the vocals and the simple instrumentation is completely fascinating.. and exceptional.. Love the stories of the writing process as well..

2024-03-02 10:42:15 +0000 UTCI love these studio sessions. Can’t believe that they were done live—one take, like a concert. But that’s what everything I’ve looked up says. Livestream with prerecorded interview clips inserted while they set up for the next song. Just incredible to me somehow. They couldn’t practice together… and Bon Iver/Justin Vernon (the dude with the face mask) was in Wisconsin while everyone else was in New York, but they still managed that incredible duet. I’m glad you’re enjoying these. I was worried they’d be too slow for you, but they’re such a great showcase of her songwriting process and her vocals and everything. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this, honestly… When I’m worn out, I like to put it on the TV (since I have Disney+, haha). Gonna settle in for part two, but I might fall asleep watching it…sorry if so! Been a long week.
