TAYLOR SWIFT - City Of Lover

I liked this one in that I really enjoy when artists who regularly play to Huge Arenas and or Stadiums and festivals get the chance to play small settings like this.. very cool.. as far as the other goes, I just thought that the Irony of a Jewish guy doing a song with an extremely controversial Hardcore Rapper was so funny.. I have to tell you that I probably only got about 10-15% of the lyrics because I was Laughing at that.. so I haven't much of a clue right now except for you breaking down the song what was actually said in them, but, when I watched your breakdown I was still laughing at what I was talking about.. I will be putting up a detail video in the morning of how I work for everyone.. Have a great day my friend.. Oh, and No, No matter what comes up on the request list, I will not allow any bullying here!!

I was worried it wouldn’t be as much your thing because it isn’t a big show with a lotta dancing, the big performance thing she does for the stadium shows. But it was meant to be a small, intimate show—all those fans there won tickets to be there (via album purchases or contests or what have you). It was a crowd of 2000, and they got free light-up bracelets because Taylor likes to be able to see everybody in a crowd. I think that’s such a special gift to give her fans. A free performance to thank them for their support. Even if it was ‘only’ an hour (they cut some stuff for the video), that’s still something a lot of artists wouldn’t do, especially since she had to pay her band and vocalists and the venue. She paid her band and vocalists for the cancelled Lover tour, too, even though and she kept them on retainer so they wouldn’t have to work during the worst of the pandemic. Or they have a salary? Not sure how to distinguish. Anyhow, that all is why it’s one of my favorites. I agree with “Daylight” being B-side quality…although plenty of fans love that one and hate “Me”. I like “Me” because of what she said in her documentary about writing it because she hoped little kids would go around singing, “I’m the only one of me! Baby, that’s the fun of me!” And also because she was spot on—my daughter absolutely loves that song and has been singing that part to herself since she was about three or four. Hard not to love a song like that—you know I’m a sucker for my daughter, haha. (She heard me watching this video and got up to jump all over the room to that one and also to “Lover”) Also, I love “You Need to Calm Down”. I just don’t understand yelling about the things you hate. I mean, even when I got myself all work up about that song, I still made my video about it unlisted because I don’t wanna show up in search results for people looking for cheerful reactions to it. And that’s despite the harassment I got from fans of the song. (I was polite to them, honest. One of them said I was the first reasonable democrat he’d ever spoken to…and then went on to say LGBT people aren’t fit to be parents because we mess up our kids. I was polite even after that, though I had to do some breathing exercises to calm myself down first.) What can I say? I like songs that lift people up or pat them on the back in commiseration when they’re low. I don’t think this world needs more hate. A song doesn’t have to be upbeat and happy—sometimes what you need is a good cry or something to listen to when you’re angry—but it just doesn’t sit right when I hear somebody hating a whole group of people. So it’s nice to have her talk to even these people tearing down her and her friends and go, “Hey…are you okay?” and “Why are you mad when you could be glad?” and stuff like that. Like you said…chill out. It’ll be okay. (Ironically, that song got her a lot of flak from both sides of the political spectrum… The extreme ends, mostly. The ones who like being mad and think everyone else should be mad and miserable and scared, too. I think being happy and hopeful despite the doomsaying 24-hour news cycle is its own kind of rebellion, personally. It’s easier to sell people things when they’re dissatisfied…lotta people profit off unhappiness.) Sorry again for my freakout earlier. One of my favorite reaction channels (who had always talked a lot about positivity and kindness, same as you, and even ended the video asking people to be civil) just ignored a bunch of Ben Shapiro fans dogpiling me in the comments. I hadn’t replied to any of their comments praising the song, just made a comment saying it made me sad to see more hatred and division in the world… Which was enough to get pretty nasty. And since he let it happen despite talking so nice previously (and ignored two messages a week apart on Patreon) I sorta…feared the worst, y’know? Hearing you say you wouldn’t let anybody treat me like that on your channel made a big difference. Two of the other four had also talked up positivity and stuff… And yeah. The remaining two had been neutral but seemed nice. Not one out of five did anything about harassment. Good to know at least you would. I’ve really had enough of people telling me to kill myself. (That’s something I won’t tolerate from anybody, even as a ‘joke’. I don’t care if I’ve been friends with someone for years—if I see them posting ‘people who (like something/don’t like something/believe something/whatever) should kill themselves’? I give them one chance to retract the statement and then cut them out of my life. I won’t stand for that kinda talk, not for anything.) Anyhow, this comment is likely longer than the whole dang video was. I just can’t shut up for anything. Take care, Popz.
