Fantastic, Thank You, I had a notion that she had Long Term Team Members.. Just the way she treats them is so good that you would want to be there with her..

I know that as of right now Paul Sidotti (Lead Guitarist) and Amos Heller (Bass player) have been with her since 2007!

A few of her band members left, but it seems to have been either to pursue solo career stuff or to spend more time with family. One started offering guitar lessons, it looks like. I mean, she toured practically nonstop for the better part of a decade; I think it’s natural for some of them to step down and retire. But even those band members were apparently brought back for recording the Taylor’s Version of albums they’d toured on, according to what I’ve read, so it’s not like they didn’t keep in touch or anything. Again, that’s just as far as I know! Seems to me they still work together, some just stopped touring before 1989 hit. Here, let me check those dates real quick… Fearless: began on April 23, 2009 and concluded on July 10, 2010 (111 shows) Speak Now: began on February 9, 2011 and ended on March 18, 2012 (110 shows) Red: started on March 13, 2013 and concluded on June 12, 2014 (86 shows) (Several band members retired from touring at this point, after 307 shows in 5 years) 1989: began on May 5, 2015 and concluded on December 12, 2015 (52 shows) Reputation: began on May 8, 2018 and concluded on November 21, 2018 (53 shows) (Pandemic happens, she keeps her crew on retainer. Keyboard member of the band opts out of the Eras tour because he has personal projects he can’t pause for that long) Eras: commenced on March 17, 2023 (after six months of rehearsals) and is set to conclude on December 8, 2024 (151 shows) Also, Taylor sang the entire setlist (3+ hours) on a treadmill daily to prepare for the Eras tour. Especially once you reach Reputation, I think you oughtta keep an eye on how much she’s active and dancing vs how much time her dancers and backup singers have to sit and rest. You see it a bit earlier on, too, but I have to wonder if the reduced tour dates post-retirement (and increased time for others to catch their breaths) is a result of worrying that she’d accidentally worked everyone too hard. Now, this is just speculation on my part! Comes from watching these concerts so many times and taking note of when she has live backup singers vs when she has a backing track to play that role vs when she plans the solo acoustic set (and her whole band gets a breather). It just…feels so deliberate. And, as you noted, she’s clearly involved in every step of the process. I loved how she rattled off all the different jobs that are critical to the tour and make it possible. Also, last thing… I gotta be honest. The two concerts I’ve seen live were just people on a plain stage. No theatrics. Nothing. No mention of the people playing instruments. Very ME ME ME. I kinda swore off concerts after that, and that was before Taylor’s debut album ever came out. Wish I’d gone to see one of her concerts. Also… her lowest 2023 ticket prices are basically no different than the tickets I got in the 90s. $49? For the frickin Eras tour? Scalping is disgusting, but she can’t do anything about that. Her most expensive pass was still under $500, as far as I can tell, and it came with exclusive merch. Like… Is ANYONE doing concerts cheaper? Beyonce is touring this year, and she’s got tickets from $146, with the top package apparently at $3k+. That’s three to six times what Taylor charged… Apparently TWICE started at $81, which you mentioned they were upset about overcharging fans? So I figure they and Taylor are in the same ballpark like…emotionally? 😂 Who knows if that makes sense. And then she spends $55mil on bonuses handed directly to the workers (so companies can’t take a cut), and apparently included the tax paperwork?? So that they’d get the full tip as take-home pay with no effect on their taxes. That’s what really gets me. Not just the money, but genuine consideration for how it might mess up their taxes, how to avoid anyone getting screwed over… hand-sealing the envelopes with wax and having her DAD personally deliver it… I loved her music, since I’m a pop fan, but I’ve always resisted music fandoms because I’m wary of parasocial relationships. But that just hit me right in the ribs. I know she’s not perfect because no one is, but she certainly seems to be trying harder than anyone else in western pop… This was a ramble 😂 Sorry. I’m at 100.3F today and pretty dang loopy.
