If you like Lancelot in this you should definitely watch The Musketeers TV show, the same actor plays Aramis and he does a very good sexy historical man

2025-06-12 04:09:24 +0000 UTCThe show has changed some things around and removed some other bits, so there are no spoilers ahead. Traditionally in the Mythology - Relationships wise- Lancelot Du Lac is the son of Vivienne (The Lady of the Lake), he and Morgana (Morgaine/Morgan Le Fey) have a long flirtation and in some stories they get together, but in most cases nothing happens and she becomes very jealous of Guinevere (Gwenevere/Gwenhwyfar) whom Lancelot is in love with and in most stories has a torrid affair with. He and Arthur are best friends and the guilt of betraying Arthur's trust for loving Gwen sends him insane and he lives as a hermit in the forest for several years. Whilst away he meets a woman who uses a love potion on him that makes him think she's Gwen, they get together and she falls pregnant with Galahad. Eventually he returns to court and he and Gwen resume their affair, it gets found out very publicly and Arthur is forced to put him and Gwen to death for betrayal. He fought off the knights that were to arrest him, killing two of his brother in arms younger siblings and fled back to his castle Joyous Gard (Thought to be St Michael's Mount in Normandy). He returns to save Gwen and takes her back to his castle with him and the country splits in half as people don't know whether they should support Arthur or Lancelot. Eventually the war that broke out led to their deaths.
