1, 2, 3... Just a little mumbling here...

I'm a gamer, I play NSFW games, and I share the frustrations most of you who do the same have.

We all know what the problems are: (1) projects that are never finished due to overly large scale, (2) unbalance between a lack of game-play elements or repetitive grinding tasks, (3) low quality writing. I made Hack'n Stack always thinking about how to avoid these problems.

Designing a short game was how I tried to handle problem (1). Despite the short scale, keeping in the game a fair number of meaningful choices and mini-games was how I attacked problem (2). Problem (3) will always be a challenge to me as I'm not a native English speaker, but I appreciate a good writing and I do my best to write with an acceptable quality.

Some people also complaint about Art quality and a lack/excess of certain fetishes in NSFW games. These I think are more subjective aspects. I like playing games about the most diverse fetishes as long as it has a good story and cool game design elements. I planned Hack'n Salk and this new project with 'standard' sexual themes, but that doesn't mean I would never digress from that at some point in the future.

This next game I'll keep element (2) and try even harder at element (3). However, I'm setting loose a bit the element (1) by planning a larger game.

That's why I'll finally try the monthly Patreon support model and this is what making me a little nervous. I take it very seriously when it comes to receive any money for my work.

Hack'n Stalk generated the solid amount of $0,00 to me. I made it only for the fun of it. If now I manage to earn some direct support to develop the game, that will add a new layer of responsibility and will become a whole new experience!

Next post I'll try to make some estimates about the game size and time to complete its full development.

(1) Projects that are never finished due to overly large scale This is true, but this go hand to hand with the story of the game, some developers work their games without even finish the story so eventually they so overwhelmed and stress that they decide to take some time off and sometime this can bring the game to be abbadoned, what i can suggest is to start working on the plot/story of the game so u dont have to face this kind of problems on the future. (2) unbalance between a lack of game-play elements or repetitive grinding tasks. This is the kind of problem that make the player to get bored easyly, for example BB is good game but the gameplay and the tasks that u have to make It's a little boring some times you have to wait for a entire week(s) in order to move on... maybe a Opportunities Chart with some hints on the your game will be great. Art: the art in your first game was really good, and I share your idea that it's best to play a game with a good argument instead of be focus on the art. You're very capable developer, and you've proved that in your first game. Keep it like that GL Mate PS: Where are u from?

I'm glad you took this decision. As I've said before judging from your first game you have the skill to do a really good job. It won't probably be easy because you're starting almost from scratch and need to advertise your work a little, but you can get there imo. GL ;)
