I’m not a heavy metal fan. Having said that, I’m a Dan Vasc fan. He obviously has extensive musical training & experience. My sister-in-law is a retired Viennese operatic singer. From watching her perform for decades, I suspect Dan has operatic training: note his breath control, phrasing, posture, and ability to hold long-notes with power throughout. His pure ability shines when he begins a song a cappella and then builds layers of sound & intensity. Compare this performance with his rendition of “Scarborough Fair” - he can sing anything.
