Progress Update: 9/29/20

We're in the final stages of creating this video. Right now, Ryan is finishing up the last of the music, and Arcaxon needs just a bit more time to create the graphic design. What he's making is remarkably intricate, and so he's going to need a bit longer than what we were expecting. While he's finishing up, it gives me time to cut together everything else. We estimate the video to be ready in 2-3 weeks. We're in the final phases, which is mostly just putting all of the pieces together into a cohesive whole.

Again, thank you all for being so patient with me. I know that this video has taken an inordinate amount of time, but this is easily the largest thing that I've ever made, and it also marks a transition period where my collaborators have taken a much more forward and creative role in the production of Down the Rabbit Hole. Learning how to work together as a team has been difficult, as I'm used to mostly working alone, but the product will be that much better for it.

This period has also been particularly difficult for me for personal reasons. Without going into too much detail, a close friend of mine committed suicide during the production of this video, and consequently, working became difficult for a long period. This video will be dedicated to them.

Once it's released, I'll be taking a few weeks away from Down the Rabbit Hole in order to create some more personal work. I originally planned to suspend Patreon payments for a month since I won't be working on DtRH, but some people mentioned that they wanted to continue their pledges for that month, likening it to a "paid vacation," and so, in the next few days, I'll be making a poll asking about this. If an overwhelming majority (90%) say that they want to support me for that month off, then I won't suspend the pledges.
