Progress Update: 2/12/18

Hello everyone! Unfortunately, I've got a tad bit of bad news. Last week, I mentioned that I had someone in the know who was willing to help me with my next video. However, after he agreed to help, I haven't heard a word from him, even after trying to reach out to him multiple times. As of today, it's been just over a week since my last message from him. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit frustrated. In the event that there's been some misunderstanding or he simply forgot or hasn't seen my messages, I'm shelving this topic for now so that I can potentially return to it with his help and guidance, though if for some reason I never hear from him again, I'll simply do the topic on my own at a later date. I truly believe I could get much better quality with his help, at least at this moment when some of the information remains locked away, so I'd like to wait and see, just in case he returns. Either way, though, the research I performed won't go to waste, as the information I've collected will go towards reducing the production time of that episode, whenever it happens.

Ultimately, this means that I'm behind on the next video. I gave over some of my weekend to try and catch up, but I'm still significantly behind where I wanted to be. The good news is that this topic is MUCH easier to research than my recent ones have been, despite a significant recent setback, so it should only take a couple of weeks to produce. This is a return to form: a modern internet topic in the vein of DSP or Chris-Chan, and it's one of my most requested topics yet. It's also of particular interest to me, and I see it as a cautionary tale for myself.

I also should maybe mention that I've taken to streaming on Twitch again more regularly, practicing my hurdy gurdy and gaming a bit. I've found it's a nice way to help me make sure I take a break in the evenings to combat burnout, which I've definitely experienced after my most recent videos.
