Soooo, you can basically take everything I said about the previous pic, and transfer it directly into this description. xD
Most definitely the most "exotic" piece I've done on here, no doubt, and for certain the biggest and most detailed dragon I've ever done. Phew!
I certainly do enjoy me some fantasy-stuff, but holy cow it's so much more work than my usual themes since it's so incredibly difficult to find exact, consistent references, and I had to pretty much just wing it on 50% of the piece, which was scary xP
Good practice though, and I definitely like the result!
I could've easily spent another two or three days on this just adding tiny little scales and lighting effects, refining the background and so on, but I eventually decided that it's time to just call it done since nothing else was adding anything to the actual composition, and I have family-business coming up so I wanted to make sure I get it done before drowning in rl-chaos. ^^
