Heyo folks, a little something your you all!
I've been experimenting with some varying degrees of size-difference, and this was a sketch I enjyoed the look of! Just finished it up fairly quickly to see what it'd look like as a full project (and I also just really wanted to draw a pretty cheetahmom ^^)
When it comes to the sizing of the human characters in these scenes, I generally try to go for something that is "extreme", but not so much that it turns the person into a silly caricature. Drawing a full-body anthro next to a human the size of an actual toddler can feel very irritating, and it also limits the amount of detail I can implement. Adult anatomy simply doesn't scale down very naturally, and eventually, you'll end up with a stick figure, with a head the size of a walnut, which I definitely want to avoid xD
And since I want to focus on all characters somewhat equally, the best option is to either "zoom in", so the anthro isn't fully visible but the human gets more space, or to give the anthro a pose such as the one here, kneeling, or sitting, where both characters consume similar smounts of the canvas.
I'll probably play around with the concept a little more, we'll see what happens ^^
Hope you like it! <3
