Say Hi!

Heyo folks!

So, here's a spontaneous little bonus-thing I quickly scribbled up, just to have a better idea of what my pics could look like if I spent a little less time trying to be “clean”, and working on complex backgrounds that don't really do anything for the primary focus of the scenario.

Rottweilerdad here apparently was in the middle of changing Ben, but then he got distracted by a call, and then he started talking to another dad, about sports, and dadstuff, and little humans, and now he's about to show Ben off in a video call, and, well, let's just hope he won't put the video up on Dadbook, or Dadtube, or something like that -.-

What do you think guys? Is this still a quality you enjoy seeing?

I think it'd help the complex full scenes stand out a little more if I started doing slightly less refined stuff like this from time to time, plus, naturally, it'd mean I can provide some more content for you peeps as well whenever I got a spontaneous concept in mind!

I'm not “burned out” on full scenes or anything, and I don't want you guys to think I'm being "lazy", but I must say it did feel nice being able to get an idea done more swiftly, while still maintaining a certain degree of quality, just without overthinking it.

I just noticed recently that, very often, people are more interested in concepts, rather than technical execution, so maybe there's no need to try and turn every single pic into a huge and lavish painting if it only means it'll take longer to finish (?)

All aspects of this pic are as clear as they would normally be, I simply went more bravely into the sketching phase, reduced the lighting work, and skipped my usual clean-up process.
Saved me about a day and a half, and I wasn't even going at maximum speed!
And I still managed to get some decent background work in as well, so the characters aren't just floating in space! I'd say it works alright.
If you squint, you probably won't even notice the difference! ^^
