Collecting Funko Pops I realized how toxic dragging value/investment into hobbies is. Thankfully, Funko's greed drove me away for the most part, except if there's some character I really have to have. I do freaking resent the trend in the anime industry only releasing series as expensive collector's box sets, though. Especially that "classic" space opera that got released in the West as an $800 collector's box ( 110 eps+recap movies+artbook). We were supposed to be grateful that they didn't sell it for $2000 like some other company was expected to some years ago. * lmao* I did manage to maneuver around the Gundam Seed boxsets, though. Instead of wasting $250 apiece for no goddamn reason, I went trolling the used media stores for the old DVD releases and filled in the gaps with secondhand ebay orders. Fuck this shit. * lol *
