the original plan was to tackle both expressions and body language all at once, but as you may have read elsewhere, i realised it was too big a topic for a single tutorial. i decided to turn it into a 3-part series instead, so HTM13 is about expressions, HTM14 will be about body language, and HTM15 will be about nsfw expressions & body language, specifically.
i didn’t want this tutorial to simply turn into a list of different expressions. instead i’ve tried to focus on how i think when i draw monster faces, and did my best to offer as much helpful insight as possible! i hope you like it -- comment below if you have any questions, and stay tuned for the upcoming exercise sheet!

nov 6 update: so uh ... i meant to simply fix some typos, but ended up editing quite a few paragraphs for more clarity, re-arranging a little, and even added a few new comments to the final page. oops? i've replaced the file attached below, so i recommend downloading it again for an updated and improved version of HTM13!
