this portrayal of our eldritch angel friend is directly inspired by frescoes and mosaics of seraphim and cherubim :> i wanted to make the design look extra weird and stylised so there’s some differences between this sketch and the painting. it’s still the same individual and several key elements are the same, but the exact composition of their physical manifestation isn’t set in stone — which i feel like makes sense for a strange angelic being.
