SKETCHBOOK: floral monster wips // sfw
Added 2020-04-25 06:53:14 +0000 UTClately i've been sketching floral character portraits to sort of warm up, wind down, or take a break between working on icons and smut paintings. i love drawing flowers, especially in a tattoo-esque style, and find it very therapeutic to just turn off my brain and ink leaf after leaf, petal after petal. the first one i did was vanu, the wolf demon to the left, surrounded by some random fantasy flower; the same goes for alva, the sphinx in the right hand corner.
but with iskandar, the golden dragon on top, i deliberately chose a plant that suits his vibe--sunflowers. and now i'm toying with the idea of making more floral character art where i surround them with flowers and herbs that fit their theme, aesthetic, and/or personality... i also want to colour these, hence the 'wip' bit!
