Added 2019-12-30 20:28:57 +0000 UTCthe yule goat monster was the clear winner of the winter holiday poll and so here he is, in all his glory!
the design is inspired by old yule goat masks/costumes and depictions, mixed with certain straw goat features - specifically the braided horns and the red ribbon, the latter of which translated so easily into something rather kinky-looking. the lettering is directly copied from holiday postcards made by jenny nyström around the turn of the last century - it translates into ’merry christmas and happy new year.’ ’jul’ is the same word as ‘yule,’ and the swedish word for yule goat is simply ‘julbock.’
