Development Time News

Hey everyone, happy Friday!

Karman and I are hard at work on V0.12 at the moment, but we're also currently working on better planning and organization for upcoming versions and improving our work flow to avoid burnout!

As a part of this, we're discussing when to release each new version and when to announce actual dates of release on months where we are particularly busy with irl jobs and responsibilities, cause we want to avoid disappointing you all with missing deadlines and overworking ourselves by staying up til around 4am on a work night to get art and coding done!

Being able to release new versions with the quality you all deserve is always our number one goal, and we want to be able to continuously deliver this with no compromise!

We'll let you all know next week what we come up with!

Thank you for being the best supporters, we value each and every one of you. Enjoy the rest of your weekends! 😁

No problem if the release is a bit slower, especially when you guys put so much emphasis on quality. Take your time and avoid burnout the best you can; it's not worth the struggle to force an update if you put your own health at risk afterward.

I agree with this, I have stressed numerous times that I would prefer you guys do whatever is necessary to avoid overworking yourselves and burning out. I would rather get quality updates than quantity, and myself and likely most if not all of the other supporters are more than willing to wait if need be to get those updates. Take care of yourselves! If you need to delay an update by a week or two due to being stressed from work or other IRL responsibilities, then by all means, take that week or two to relax!

You've already spoken of increasing release gaps with two weeks or so in the past, through the poll you did. Despite this you've still rolled out updates within four weeks (more or less). I think I speak for everyone when I say that no one will protest, or be surprised, if you go ahead and add those two weeks to the interval between updates. There is no shortcut, take your time, please!
