I need your help
Added 2022-04-13 19:51:35 +0000 UTCWelp, I've been having a bit of a bad time lately and I don't know what to do.
Ever since that Argonian animation got somewhat badly received I've been having doubts about my Blender skills and this is really negatively affecting my motivation. It also made me very anxious to the point that I'm afraid to post any short loop or any 'simple' animation because that could seem like the quality of my work went down. So effectively I'm just quitting every project I attempt because I feel like I can't quite match the standard I set for myself.
I also noticed that both WIPs for that Lunara animation got 0 likes her, so I begun wondering if anyone even is excited to see that or if it's gonna be another miss.
So instead of continuing blindly I just want to ask you what you would like to see from me. If there's enough suggestions I might make a poll out of them.
From more positive news thanks to Patreon money as well as a very generous donation from one of you (you know who you are :P ) I was finally able to buy a NAS to get both more storage as well as some redundancy. I got a used WD EX4100 as well as 4 brand new 4TB HDDs and set them up in Raid 5 which enables any 1 drive to fail without losing any data. So at least I have that going on for me.

Probably a little bit of both. It's hard to explain. Usually my animations are kinda ideas that just come to me, I'll get excited about them and I'll get really hyper-focused on making it as quickly as possible. But if I try to come up with something else like "oh what could I do with these two characters, oh I know why don't I do this..." it just doesn't go that well, it's hard to stay committed to that. I think it might be an ADHD thing but I haven't been diagnosed so eh.

2022-04-17 19:02:52 +0000 UTCI've always been more of a lurker when it came to Patreon. Simply enjoying what was put out there and never really reacting to it. Perhaps most of your patrons simply do the same? Just waiting for you to make whatever you like and enjoying the final product and simply forgetting to leave that like when they actually do like it. Personally I do like the egg laying, as well as the sangheili and yautja girls. As for your motivation. Are you having trouble coming up with ideas, or are you just not sure what ideas of yours will be enjoyed?

2022-04-16 17:05:07 +0000 UTCIt's okay, as I said I will do some WS anyway. Eggs are not on my radar for a while at least but I'm not saying that I'll never do them again. And as far as Twitter goes - most of my followers came from the Yautja renders (I think first thousand) and the Toriel poledance animation - the next 5 thousand. And I did a bunch of anthro stuff after that as well so the majority of my followers probably didn't even know I did feral stuff, let alone oviposition and WS - so I bet a couple hundred of them just couldn't handle it and unfollowed when I posted it again :P

2022-04-14 16:08:07 +0000 UTCOh yea like for example Sakimi chan has 80k or more likes and lots of comments on Twitter but in patreon bearly 500 to 600 like and almost none comments the thing is, it's not you, it's us the consumer so far you doing very good with the animation. So try anything that is popular and see what clicks with the people.

I love your stuff, your one of few good animators that dose great egg/ws and thought others did as well. I also love the girl u chose to animate. I hope your work gets picked up more soon but dont hold your breath on that. ^^;

2022-04-14 00:43:26 +0000 UTCTwitter is not a problem - I get pretty good engagement, 8K followers might not be a lot compared to some other people but it's still pretty good, and I get hundreds of likes on tweets. I was more concerned with this Patreon - I got likes on Blade Wolf, I got likes on Liara, but WIPs of Lunara sex animation got absolute 0 TWICE and that made me wonder why. Cause if it's something that people really don't care about then I will just do something else for now and come back to it later. You mentioned Alien girls - so you mean more Yautja, Sangheili? Or rather Liara, Tali'Zorah?

I feel like doing some sci-fi SFW stuff - Dune, Star Trek etc. But doing SFW on my SFW account that has like ~40 followers is also a curse - first it feels like I'm neglecting this patreon and second nobody watches that anyway - I get like 1-2 likes on Twitter on average. As for the piss and egglaying - they're kinda problematic cause the last time I reposted my older animations with that content I lost like 150-200 followers because of it. I will make more watersports anyway, though egglaying I'm not that much into.

2022-04-13 21:38:25 +0000 UTCOne more thing people don't like patreon because all the bullshit that's been happening so that s reason they may not want to follow you to patreon, try posting alien chick's and other style you liked to do and check if there's a difference maybe on Twitter or newgrounds and see the response you get. But keep the good stuff in patreon, so people may want to come. So far there are other creators that for years they keep making content but had zero to none likes or people until it did.

2022-04-13 20:15:03 +0000 UTCI have found when I try to pleas everyone, I get a low like count. People like my wired and unique stuff and I for one love the watersport and egg laying you make. Have anything piss or lay egg even if that dose not make sent. I think people will love it.
