EMINEM “White America” REACTION

THE EMINEM SHOW HAS BEGUN!!

This song was diabolical lmao.

Malcolm X, one of the first people to popularise the term “White America” said, “The White liberal is the worst enemy to America, and the worst enemy to the Black man.” I feel like I can tell who Marshall voted for in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 from this song alone 💀😂

Not my favorite Em song. Just could not get into it.

I’m never confident in my analysis lmao, are you new here? I often have to ask you, the audience, the definitions of words because I’m not even confident in my ability to use language sometimes 😂 This is always my FIRST REACTION to these songs brev… when you listen to anything for the first time do you understand every single nuance yeah? 💀 When you listen to music from the 60’s, do you place yourself in the 60’s? Whose perspective do you even listen from? Your own or the writers? There are so many ways to interpret and view music that for you to tell me I’m wrong for viewing it any way I choose, genuinely makes me laugh brev. None of us are “wrong”. I’m clearly saying something that people aren’t used to hearing and I’m fine with that. We don’t think the same and that should be championed. Sorry I’m not in your echo chamber or a part of the American propaganda machine you call “education”. I’ll take your critique of my work seriously when you record over 10,000 hours of you hearing music for the first time and correctly understanding the nuances in each song perfectly. Until then, I’m gonna continue perceiving music how I do through my own personal lens 👍

I wish you would seek some context regarding these songs. You’re getting so worked up bitching about what you perceive as Em bitching, and you’re actually completely wrong in your interpretation of his lyrics. Perhaps it’s because you’re not American, perhaps it’s because you didn’t live through those times. Regardless, there is nuance to what he’s saying in many of his songs that is sailing right over your head. To be fair, I’m not upset that you misinterpret some things, it’s more that you are so confident in your analysis and your analysis is just wrong lol. I love your breakdowns and reactions, just wish you’d be a bit more objective in this case. Your political points have merit when applied properly, but in this song (and a couple others) you’ve taken a few things and made them fit your viewpoint rather than understanding you might not have all the context necessary. You’re a seemingly discerning guy, but you need some schooling about very American-specific cultural and societal references in these songs. Context is key, innit? Respectfully, of course 🤙
