This is why I have been a metal chick since I was 9 years old. My neurodivergent undiagnosed ass was hooked the second I heard Metallica. The music told the story and the lyrics filled in the gaps in my head and the complexity of the music, so like classical music but with drums and heavy guitar, allowed me to focus on something instead of ping ponging all over the place. as i got older the music allowed me to get out all the emotions I couldn't express or even understand in myself. Myself and almost every metal head I've known are the some of the nicest most chill people and I truly believe it's because we have the lyrics and music to release all the shit from inside, leaving a relatively calm person behind capable of interacting with the world

This and a lot of the tracks you reacted to (enter sandman, sad but true, one and more) with orchestral backing. One of my favourite albums from Metallica, it's as if the orchestra was always part of the songs
