I have Bipolar and take Lithium. So many of the lyrics describe the dilemma that taking Lithium presents. You take it at night, but dont want to lie down with it, because it takes away the highs, which are fun! Drown my will to fly, drugging myself to prevent the mania when you feel like you can and want to fly ... but know that flying means you need the Lithium.
