RATM were slaves to the machine just like the rest of us. They have the same choice as the rest of us: Be part of the machine or starve. It's not really a choice so they did the only thing they could, rage against it while still having to be part of it.

2025-06-07 19:22:16 +0000 UTCYou make very good points about the lyrics and the fact is that yes, the band wrote this song when they were all very young - this album came out 24 years ago and back then they were very passionate about that kind of stuff. They still perform the song live to this day even though they might not 100% stay true to the themes in it, just like Last Resort. It's undeniably a banger of a tune! Looking forward to more Papa Roach reactions 🤘
