Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of Heaven REACTION

Comments

Teddy you should do an album react to FFDP's 'the way of the fist' it is an amazing album with great lyrics.

Ian Kordich

Another great video would be coming down. It delivers a powerful message. TRIGGER WARNING this sound will evoke a strong reaction right at beginning but goes on to deliver message.

Jason Carlson

Disposable Heroes by Metallica -- same theme. Great reaction and loved your thoughts at the end. Intelligent, thoughtful and poignant. Thank you.

There are not enough support groups for men out there

Claire Howarth

Also if you want to read an incredible book - read Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, the creator of the Lone Survivor Foundation. Definitely heartbreaking, but also very inspiring.

Perfect example of the incredible power of music. It's a creative outlet that we can use to evoke real emotion through song and lyrics. Great reaction and as someone who is not a veteran, but my oldest brother is and has a tbi from training that nearly killed him and has impacted the rest of his life, I understand there are real issues that need to be discussed and remedied in our country (US) to help those who have given so much.

I've always loved this song but never seen the music video to it. I'm actually in tears. To all the vets out there, you deserve SO much better.

As a veteran it hurts me every day to know that this country just discards us after we stop putting on that uniform every day. I suffer from PTSD, I’ve had my bouts with shuicide, and I’ve been either homeless or on the verge of it all due to the fact that after I got out I had no idea got to function within society again. Not only as a soldier but with all the metaphorical shrapnel that came from the time I served and my deployment to Afghanistan. It’s tough every single day. It never fully goes away.

I agree too many women view men as disposable/ replaceable.

Tracy Hooley

I love you and your videos but I have to disagree agree that it’s mostly women who don’t gaf about men’s mental health. A lot of the conversations surrounding male mental health were started by feminists who were pointing out that the patriarchy hurt men too. Almost every woman I know has at some point desperately tried to get the men in their life to open up and even go to therapy. It’s usually other men who don’t give a shit, like when you see news stories about male victims of sexual assault and all the comments are men viciously victim shaming them. A lot of the idea that men should “man up” come from other men. Of course there are going to be women who don’t give a shit but in general, it needs to start at home

Military service in the US includes healthcare while you're in, and once you are discharged but the wait times are killing people. Oh and it only covers anything you received during service, and you have to be able to prove it happened during service. Serving also includes free college education, and lower interest rates on things like homes. There's a reason most of the people who serve are from poor families. Our vets get discharged and are thrust back into civilian life with no prep for what not living in the military is like. Mental healthcare for anyone here is a joke, but for people who have been in war? And this isn't new. The Veteran's Affairs administration was still using PAPER records like 10 years ago. The files where so large, the building was physically breaking down under the weight. They are never given enough funding. We have veterans who served and then are deported. One thing to point out, I think it's like 1 in 5 US soldiers are women and they get the same shit treatment when they come home. Too many people forget about vets once they get home. They only care about the idea of the military, not the people actually in it.

I'm a woman. And I definitely give a shit❤️ I've watched this countless times and always makes me cry. Whichever country you come from, it's the system that's wrong. The vast majority of regular people will react to this exactly as you have, with shock and humility and left feeling that we want to do more to help others. If you want proof that many people do care, please watch Lewis capaldi at Glastonbury last year ( there is a full version on YouTube) when he tries to sing "someone you loved" but his tourettes kicks in. Watching the crowd have is back is the most beautiful thing. With all the negative things going on in the world, this totally renewed my faith in humanity. Most people really DO care ❤️

I don't want to get too political but it's not the current administration that doesn't care about veterans or the people in general. It's all administrations. Once you get to the top of American politics they don't give a fuck about any of us. They just care about themselves and how they can get more money in their pockets.

Thank you so much for choosing this song. It has such a strong message and well, simply put it meant a lot to me. 🙂

Would love to see you react to The Pride by these. Favourite song by them!

Centralized Health Care does not work, at least not very well. I spent enough time in Canada to see this first hand.

As a singular person, I obviously can't speak for all Americans. But I can speak on my experience. I've met people from all over the country, from all walks of life. The vast majority respects our veterans. The problem is our completely corrupted government. The theory that they don't give us a universal health care system bc they use needing health insurance as a recruitment tactic is 100% true. Along with $ for higher education. My step-sisters son just joined the Airforce straight out of high school & told us those 2 reasons were exactly why he was enlisting. 😢 As Tupac said, "They don't give a fu(% about us".

Crystal

I have not experienced the issues touched on in this video, however I live with a mixture of pride and terror for my son. He had just competed basic training with the army, he joined at 16 and he turned 17 just days before passing out. He is now training to be an explosives ordanace detonator (bomb disposal). The pride comes from seeing him grow and love what he's doing but I am terrified of what the future may hold. Slowly the tide is turning to show men to show their emotions and more be ashamed of them yet there is so much further to go. Hopefully each little step forwards will add up to major changes.

Emma

Glad it wasn’t just me then!

His voice is incredible! One of the more powerful ones I’ve heard so far for sure!

I don’t believe that any issue can be attributed to a particular party and certainly not a singular human in Donald Trump lol. I used to think like you too, but he’s still a human, not the boogeyman. I only mention Democrats because their leaders are allowing every immigrant through very specific borders in order to boost votes during the election. Whilst this helps them in the short term, this just exacerbates the problem of homeless veterans. The real problem though is lobbying and the influence that corporations have over governmental policies. Change won’t happen for the 99% whilst the 1% are the only ones who’s needs are being met!

Teddy Grey

Witnessed them at a concert. This song live is 1 word - Breathtaking.

Kill Bill

This is how most of us react to this song for the first time

Pikawarps

Yes, these are American statistics, and they're disgusting. Not to get too political, but the reason we have so many homeless veterans is because republicans like to use it as political fodder, the same as they do with our southern border. They want to ensure they have these issue to run on, so they don't want them fixed. It just happened that a republican put together a smokin' border deal (smokin' for republicans bc Dems got nothing they wanted), and republicans won't even consider it because Trump told them he wants to run on the issue this election. The republican aurhor of the bill was then censured by his own party for working with democrats. Don't buy into the idea that this administration is the problem. We are having a huge fight over abortion, too. Republicans have admitted, on camera, that some of the reason they want it outlawed is to make sure we have enough people to staff our military. They keep people poor for the same reason. Poor people have very few options, so the military benefits. Traditional gender roles are the reason why you are expected to staff the military, and only show certain emotions, etc. Man-made gender expectations, and they fuck with both men, and women. Both men and women buy into toxic masculinity, thinking that "real men" can only look one way, act one way, just as both men and women buy into the tradition expectations for women. We all need to do our part to tear that shit down.
