I love how you've used the words "offering", "worship" and "ascending" 😂 It's like you already know! I love hearing your thoughts and your perspective on music, it's so refreshing! 🤘🏻 Also, I dunno if you'll see this cause it's quite a lengthy comment 😂 but, Sleep Token don't do many actual music videos, they're more like visualisers so you can listen to them and read/hear the lyrics. It's part of who they are, they are anonymous and only want people to hear their music, as they believe what they look like isn't important, which is one reason why they are one of my favourite bands! I'm glad you haven't just jumped on the hype bandwagon with reacting to their new stuff (although it is so good), but everything they've done throughout has been absolutely amazing! Can't wait for more! I would suggest doing The Offering, Gods, Bloodsport (both versions), Sugar, Dark Signs (very different, but something I think you'll like), Atlantic, Hypnosis, Alkaline, High Water, Missing Limbs, The Summoning, Granite, Vore, Ascensionism, The Apparition, Take Me Back To Eden, Euclid Just suggestions obviously, but either way, I can't wait to see more! If you arent doing anything from Take Me Back To Eden yet may I suggest : Bloodsport (from The Room Below) it is absolutely phenomenal. Sugar is freaking, oh my god :D haha and Nazareth is absolutely amazing as well. Take Me Back To Eden as an album in its entirety is a masterpiece where it all comes together. Whatever you decide Im fucking here for it!

Tragic, desperate, toxic, painful love songs, full of hope, and suffering, longing, and disappointment. It's about self harm, and its effect on others. It's about lack of love of self, self reflection, growth, and healing. It's about saying goodbye, even though it hurts like a motherfucker. Don't come into Sleep Token with the same expectations as you would with other metal bands. They are different. The further you go, the journey changes. Come in with an open heart, and you will be rewarded. Once you get to Blood Sport, it *must* be a double reaction. First the studio version with lyrics pulled up. Then the From The Room Below performance. Trust.

2024-02-11 15:09:04 +0000 UTCStarting from their early stuff does give you the evolution of the sound, alot of the newer stuff has call backs and reference’s to the early works. Sleeptoken have gained so many new fans from take me back to eden and being the album that got them into them, its only natural they would ask for tracks from that album. The first full album sundowning has a great mix of genres which is another evolution of theirs. Dont get to tied up with the lore, it is something that you can really deep dive into or just pick up little bits from their music, its by no means essential to enjoying it. Keep up the great work bud
